Are you getting rid of your 48" Spectra? I may know someone who wants it if so. Shoot me an email if so, jeremy@premiumaquatics.com.

Anybody know which type of ballast comes on the Infinity 24'' with 4 T-5 I would like to know which type is the MH ballast is it a M81 or something else. The box is square and silver makes some noise when it comes on, it is not electronic.

For those of you who run or have run a spectra and lit the tank with both the metal halide and t5s, how high did your spectra sit above the tank?
Thanks! |

Well got lucky this weekend and PU a 72" SPECTRA with 3 250w SE Radiums. Cleaned, and polished. Currently working on ballast issues. Any recommendations on what ballast would be the best replacement for the original Giesemann combo ballast. Tried Icecap 250w electronic ballast worked fine but fired slow. In addition I tested using the Galaxy 250w/400w fired up quicker and brighter. Used the original Giesemann remote ballast to fire both banks of T5s.

Fires quick and bright. currently running (3) Radium XM 250s and (4) Giesemann 80W Actinic Plus. looking for the best T5 combo now. Have heard Fiji purple is a good addition. Would like to convert the T5s to dimable

^^^^^ They're was a BNIB 24 Spectra for sale on the east coast not sure if it sold. There is a issue of not having 50 post you definately have the 90 days down, I would just start some useful threads and lend a hand to someone with a question or two.

There is a Spectra for sale in the used forums I believe it is a 48'' model, I think Ly is selling it. Spectra's are very nice lights, especially since you can run radium bulbs, the Infinity are really good also but you can run Phoenix bulbs.

Matrix 2 T5
Brought three of these units 2 of 8x54 watt and 1of 6x54 watt light units.I put the 6 tube over my existing 5 ft tank.Going from 2x 250 mh + 4 T5 I must say these thing put out some light. The SPS haven't shown any signs of stress from lack of light.Id even say there Probaly shown improvement and getting better colour.Cant wait for the nine ft to arrive to try the two units.
