You know, while I was waiting, I got more and more nervous about trusting my SPS to this doser and ended up buying a litermeter setup instead. Soooo glad I did for piece of mind alone.

I got mine yesterday and have it all setup and calibrated. Looks like they pre-calibrate them at the factory? Mine had liquid in the tubes and it calibrated pretty close to the default numbers that were in there already. This is my first doser so I don't have anything to compare it to, but it seems to work and the price was great. I have it plugged into my Apex as a fail-safe so if it gets stuck on, the Apex will cut power if the pH reaches 8.5. I read a post on another forum where the DP-4 got stuck on after a power outage and dumped a whole lot of Alk & Cal all at once. Not pretty.
Also, I ordered the bundle package from Fish-Street. Came with a stand/bracket, tube holder, some silicone tubing, and a 3 chamber liquid container. I'm really impressed with the liquid container. Really nice quality and looks great. Was the perfect fit in my super tiny and cramped sump/stand area. ![]() And even though I ordered it from the USA warehouse section they shipped it out of Hong Kong via DHL. Got it in 2 days and they only charged the $5 for shipping that the USA warehouse would have cost. This is my second Fish-Street order, and I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again. |

I would check that small dose. That doser isn't very accurate at that small of a dose.

Are there any reviews on the newest version (DP-2)? It's a 2-head unit and a 4-head slave can be attached. Both Fish Street and Amazon have them for sale ($75).
I have a GHL doser2 for 2-part, but I have been looking for a cheap doser to put inside a fridge for dosing refrigerated foods. Thinking about this one, but have not seen any reviews for the new model, unless I am overlooking them? |

With all this talk I'm wondering if I did something wrong. Because my doser's been running since 3/25/15 I programmed it to dose 10ml each of 2part twice daily and well my parameters are spot on.
What is everyone using to measure the actual output?

The easiest way to measure the output is with RO water and a pair of scales that measure to 0.1g (they are useful to have around in this hobby anyway). 1ml = 1g.

Can a few of you guys post some pics of how you mounted this unit. I want to get one and put it under my tank, where my sump is but it seems like it's better to mount it with it being higher and dosing down. Not much space below my tank to visualize the display and have the pump lines pointing down. Does that make any sense? Kind of hard to explain.

I have mine mounted under, in the sump area. I have got non-return valves on the lines as a precaution.

It just seems that mounting it under the tank seems hard being that the display screen is on top of the unit and it doses from the side down, like it should be mounted up higher.
What is a non-return valve?

I should be getting my DP-4 in a couple of days and I am planning to install it flat against the side of my stand. Will drill 6 small holes on the stand to send the hoses through it and will also try to find a couple of good looking brackets to hold the pump in place on the outside towards the back of the stand. Can anyone foresee a problem with such an installation? |

I have a raised sump so the doser is actually below the sump, flat on the floor of the stand with the tubes overhanging the base of the stand. |

Has anyone tried to cheat the calibration? Instead of 100ml tune to 20ml so every 1ml you program is really .2ml

Set mine up a couple of days ago. I installed it flat against the side of the stand. Asked it to dose 15 ml 12 times a day. Checked for accuracy today:

I am using this for a different application but maybe you can help me. I want to set this up to dose 6ml, then have it dose on command, manually. No automatic. just hit a button and it doses. Is this possible?

No manual dosage is only momentary. Why wouldn't you want automatic you might as well just hand dose the supplements
