Also found out they are working on a skimmer app that does the following :

Delay start after power outage
Delay start if Feed Mode is activated
Shut OFF for Collection Cup
Shut OFF for Waste Collector container
Power consumption monitoring to let you know if the impeller or Motor is faulty
Power consumption monitoring to let you know if the pump is running dry out of water
Power Consumption monitoring to let you know if the Air-Hose is clogged
Future Air draw sensor
In this case and only with this APP the polarity for the Level sensor is set to Inverse and can't be changed so you don't inadvertently set it incorrectly.

Pretty sweet.

Interesting. What happens if you invert the float switch magnet?

Can you delay start after return pump outlet turns on instead of or along with the power outage? I shutdown my return pump when I feed so food doesn't just go right down the drain into the sump and then delays start to allow the sump level to stabilize. I know many people time their feeding > return pump /skimmer off > return on > delay skimmer on.

I know this sounds funny and I hope not insulting. But they should read through the Apex's comprehensive manual. It was written mostly by an apex user who I think now works or helps develop for neptune now. I might be mistaken about the last part but he was most certain not associated with Neptune when he compiled the document.

In it are many very popular things people do with their controllers.

You can link any outlets function to any outlet. Of course you can delay the skimmer related to the sump. Inverting the polarity means the same as float switch open or closed. One way when the float switch is down its open, invert the polarity the float switch is down it is closed. Just another way of saying it.

Yeah, getting some lost in translations here on my side. Is it the app though that's trying to controlling the polarity?

You can control polarity within the Cerebra. What I have listed is a one touch setup for a skimmer so you don't have to do any programming. It does it all for you with a push of a button. Now tweaking it to your outlets, etc remains to be seen how to do that since there are no apps released yet. Not until beta is over and the cloud is going. This is an example of what will be contained within an app they are developing. I assume there are endless possibilities for apps. Say you have Kessils and you want the light schedule to mimic the Fiji islands....someone can make an app that will do that for the Cerebra instead of you trying to figure it out. The problem is hoping someone develops an app you want....unless of course you develop your own. If I'm not mistaken they are relying on companies to make their own like ecotech, Kessil, tunze , etc... They have manufacturers on board I guess...we'll see what starts coming about soon.

Hello Vertex Cerebra Owners! So my buddy just received his last week, to make it quick, I'm very impressed of the overall appearance and craftsmanship. I have not turned it on or anything yet, but will be installing it for him once he gets back in town. It will one day control 3 tanks. Two of which will be built in next month or two. I cannot wait to take delivery of mine from AquaCave by the end of the month!

So when I opened his, I took a picture of his serial number and such to register his as he is not computer savvy. The web address that I thought would get me to the exclusive forum was the wrong web address as it is for the cloud service, which is not up yet. Do any of you have the web address to the forum so I can get him registered. You can private message me if you would like. Thanks!

They are getting this information from the exclusive cerebra forum. I'm in the forum reading the threads as I will be installing the cerebra for a buddy of mine when he gets back in town. They are very quick in responding in various ways to fix/report bugs as well as general use questions. This piece of equipment is getting amazing everyday!

ok so it wasn't personal experience but from Vertex themselves.

It's good to see the rapid development.

Got confirmation that mine has shipped from BRS. Going to be a long weekend if it doesn't get here until Monday!!!

Edit: UPS says monday. I guess that gives me time to find a float switch and some other assorted necessities.

When you join the forum don't hesitate to ask questions. They will answer quickly (like within minutes). You will feel way behind at first but you will get caught up, so don't fear. Everyone on there is nothing but helpful from the vertex people to the forum members. Congrats on getting in on this. It's gunna be pretty sweet !

I waited on the sidelines for a while to see if it took off. All the reading about the multi year development time and missed release timelines had me wary. The other thread is literally a flag saying "Don't buy this, the are hacks!" but the company is far from such in other value streams. When BRS finally said they would pre order, I was on the notification list, I pounced. This thread was also in its infancy and moving in a collaborative direction so I felt it was a reasonable gamble for the money. Being new to all of this, I am perpetually behind the curve, but learning and watching the fruit of your endeavour is what this is all about for me and most in the hobby I think. There are only hard questions and no easy answers. It is beautiful.

Their warranty and support is Adam and he lives in Canada. You may be a little confused because their sales is in SoCal.
