Dwarf Angel of some sort X 1--coral beauty--great algae eater
Six Line Wrasse X 1---that limits your wrasse as this guy can give you problems getting along esp with other wrasses and gobies. I prefer the fairy wrassse
3-4 Hermits
5-10 Snails (What Kind?) mixture of astrea, jumbo and necessarius for the sand bed
2-3 Shrimp (what Kind?) cleaner shrimp blood red and peppermint--all usefull in the tank for something

So the first one is a pinktail triggerfish; I hear they are one of if not the nicest trigger out there, does this mean he can go in a community tank or does it still have to be in a predator set up. Second is a majestic angelfish, LFS only gets very large adults (7-10 inches) I plan on getting everything else for the tank pretty small would its big size make it a terror in a community tank? Next is a yellow tang I always thought they were little devils, but the LFS told me they would fine in a 180 community is this true? Finally is a diamond watchman goby I know they are very sensitive fish and I don't want to get one if they will get stressed out by all the bigger fish. Thanks
IMO any trigger can grow and so can its mouth---and they are all programmed like the Terminator if it can fit in its mouth it will eat it
They belong in a predator tank

Mixed feeling about a majestic angel---they can be nice but they also can be nasty to other fish. It is also and expensive fish to be starting out with

Yellow tang--great but if you intend to add other tangs add it last--can become very territorial

Yellow watchman gobies are smart and know how to take care of themselves--it would be okay in your tank

I want to put a Jewled Moray Eel in a 24g Aqua Pod. It would be the only reef inhabitant, after it eats that damsel I can't seem to catch. Tank has stock hood to prevent escape. Plan on adding Biocube skimmer and doing weekly water changes of 10 - 20%. Workable? Any other eels that will work besides a Snowflake or Ribbon?

Fairy wrasse would be fine for a 46--I have them in 24 and 29 gal cubes and they do great.Wrasses need alot of rock rather then alot of room
The six line is not out of the question but it does limit the chances of you adding other wrasses in the future,

that is 2 feet long as an adult---I don't think a 24 gal pod is the place for a jewled moral eel

my wish list

55g reef-I already have a yellow watchman, and a purple pseudochromis. I would like to add a small yellow tang, a pair of onyx clowns, a wrasse and maybe a clam. What do you think and in what order should I add them?

I came to that conclusion after the initial "I want it!" wore off and I started thinking rationally. Thanks for the help!

Stock List for 10 gallon skimmerless with Penguin 350 Power Filter: (No Bio-Wheels, will use carbon, and live rock rubble)

Green Clown Goby (Gobiodon atrangulatus)
Citrinus Clown Goby (Gobiodon citrinus)
Firefish (Nemateleotris magnifica)
Longspine Cardinal Fish (Zoramia leptacanthus)

I'll eggcrate the top to keep the firefish from jumping. Think I'm pushing my luck here with 4 fish?

If you completely disagree with my selections, please suggestion something. I thought about a goby/pistol shrimp, but think I've decided against it.

So heres the thing. I've been doing a bit of research and window shopping.
I would like to continue to get fish that are small (semi-small), colorful and loaded with personality! I'm feeling pretty much stuck though. I looked at the Fridmani Pseudochromis, which is gorgeous and vibrant, but from what I understand they can be aggressive?? Would it be a bad fit in my tank?
Then theres the Helfrichi's Firefish. Would I be gambling my money with this pricey fish? My other thought is the Tail Spot Blenny. He's real cute (and really small at my LFS right now).
I thought about getting a Coral Beauty again (my last one died in crash) but this one may decide to like my corals unlike my last. All my fish are really small right now except for my Starry, he's probably close to being full grown. Yes, he has a little bit of an attitude til he warms up to ya. (I love the color changing with his mood! lol) I'm pretty sure he thinks he owns the tank right now.
So now after this long essay, (sorry) what do you think? Your thoughts are appreciated. Like I said, I'm stuck. Thanks Capn!

oh...I totally forgot (sooo dumb) about my Borbonius Anthias. I had one in the past and LOVED him, but never got to really enjoy him. Could I make him my final addition? Thanks again!
Sorry long week, little sleep nothing personal with missing your post

Fridmani Pseudochromis---would be a bad fix as it can be agressive towards smaller species and you have alot of small gobies

Helfrichi's Firefish---very delicate fish--might be threatened by the chromies that you have

Tail spot blenny---- would be a good choice with the other crew

Coral beauty----would be a good choice also

Borbonius Anthias----I believe that is a very expensive fish. I tried to do some research on it but I found nothing on its temperment and or interraction with out fish so I really can't comment

My concern is with the 2 chromies you have in there---they are related to damsels and can misbehave just like their cousins

You are pushing your luck with 4 fish in a 10 gal. why not go with two and load the tank up with interesting inverts such as coco worms, fan worms and sea urchins

I would not go with more than two fish but load the tank up with interesting inverts like I suggested in the previous post

A yellow tang is not suitable for a 55 gal tank but if you get it small enough you may get a few years and then have to upgrade
Add the yellow tang last and don't go with a six line wrasse---they can bother other fish unlike some of the other nice wrasses like a fairy wrasse

Thanks Capn!
What other fish would go great for personality and appearance with the tang, clowns, and pseudo other than a wrasse? I also have some corals.

I didn't take it personal! I know you do alot of things here at RC, and I'm sure you do a whole lot outside of RC! I figured you just looked over it NO problems!
Thanks alot for your insight! I figured the Fridmani was a bad choice, but a gorgeous fish nonetheless., same for the Helfrichi's. Oh well lol
It makes me happy the the Tail spot and Coral are a good fit. They are cuties. Could I add both? Or just one?

As for the Borbonius Anthias, here is a link I found here at RC:
http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=1335953

I use to have one. He was an amazing little fish. Lots of personality and kept to himself. He use to sit right next to my Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish. At that time I also had an Indigo Blue Hamlet, Diana Hogfish, Coral Beauty, Dusky Jawfish, Starry B, Nem w/Clowns, Longnose Butterfly and a Domino Damsel (devil's spawn)! After 3 months, the Domino decided he didn't like him and killed him! I was sooo angry after spending $130 on the Borbonius. The Domino decided after that to attempt to kill my Indigo! (who was twice his size) Needless to say, the Domino lost his lease! I evicted him quickly as I could (had to tear down most of the tank lol)
Alot more info has come out for the Borbonius since. After my post, I read the thread. I don't think I could house him

BTW...someone on this thread told me to get the Bleen Chromis lol
Not mentioning any names! I was told they would be good and nice. I was told they might hurt one another, but that would be it. They actually are scardy (spelling?) cats! My McCoskers likes to chase them, but doesn't hurt them. They better not turn into the Domino I had!! OMG!!
Anyways, THANKS again for everything Capn! I love picking your brain!
You are one of RC's special friends!

Hey Capn! So.. remember the whole Baseodiscus/Holothuria/Lollyfish debate??
Well, I finally got him! "Baseodiscus" sp. according to Quality Marine IS actually the Holothuria sp. Here he is!!

I don't know his "sub species" so to say, but I LOVE him!!
Thanks again for directing me to LeslieH and for your help!!!

Edit: I think he is of the hilla sp. The only thing is, his pointy knobs are a lime green with yellow. In the pics I find they are white. Who knows, right?
