I bit into the Neptune ecosystem. $800 to replace everything my Archon was doing.

I like your shark lol! Mine's still just being an angry little dude but I think I've got a work around in place for the time being until I have a bit more time on my hands to deal with the situation (ie buy and set up something else). I just can't set up the wireless - it kicks me out of its own network after I do so and won't let me in from my network. I have an old tablet just kicking around so I'll just leave that connected to the faux network and have that as my aquarium controller until I get a fire check and some time. Worse comes to worse I'll buy a Neptune ATO module that since I'll need it anyway.

I've still got mine, though I've been considering selling it, if I could find someone interested.

I stopped using mine and went back to the Reefkeeper Lite. Archon was unreliable and a PITA. The salinity and pH probes are worthless - maybe they all are.
Reefkeeper never fails and don't have to get onto the computer to use it. |

What part was unreliable for you? Are you not using the exact same probe with the reefkeeper?

I still use mine. I also have a spare Archon and at least one spare of each module I use. Do you have one you are trying to use?

Yep, bought one a few years ago. Now that I am out of work for the foreseeable future I figure it is a good time to hook it up.

I was one of the beta testers for the Archon. This link should be a help. http://www.austinreefclub.com/topic/...ge/3/#comments It is my build thread and I go over the Archon starting on page 3.

I accidentally hooked up a PC4 power bar with a 0-10v cable rather then a bus cable.
I think I identified the part in the Archon I tried if I can find a schematic.... Any chance you would open up yours and tell me what is printed on the piece that is soldered into "DZ" in the upper right corner? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk |

Still looking for a head unit if anybody has one to sell. Also if anybody has one they are willing to open up I could use some info.
I need to know what the smd diode says in the upper right corner. The "dz" spot The one next to it says 1L44h. Thanks! Jason Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk |

Sorry I don't get on here very often. That is probably a diode with the name D2 in your last photo. I will see what is on mine.

OK, I have an old board but I cannot read it at home. I will take into the shop tomorrow and see if I can read it with our little microscope. It is labeled DZ next to the top buss port.
