I would fill it up anyway, you don't have any livestock to kill off, in there yet. A few days without the skimmer is not going to hurt.

Yah but when Tim did his, he said it stunk bad even though it was dry base rock. I kinda want to minimize the stench or my wife will kill me lol!

I don't think Tim rinced his Marco rocks before adding them and they gunked up the tank. If you rince them real good they should be ready, but what does a few days hurt when it has been this long right? I think I would wait on the skimmer.

I put the rock in a clean rubermaid trash can and put the water in with a skimmer for about 6 weeks. Maybe it would have not been so bad had I rinced them first. I'm glad I had the skimmer in the trash can though cuz it pulled out a butt load of crud for the first week.

Yah I rinsed mine for sure and scrubbed some of the dead sponges off. I may fill the tank with RO for now and add the salt when the skimmer comes in. Its gonna take 2 to 3 days to fill it up anyways.

Wow, that takes some self control to not open your skimmer the second you got it.

Alright, alright. Here are a few pics I could take before the batteries died on the camera. Sorry for the delay but that darn dinner thing you know.

[IMG][/IMG]

I never seen a venturi like this before. It has some sort of a sleeve that goes over the venturi opening. I know its a meshwheel but I can not get the darn thing to open. I dont want to force it just yet

Well, Im not to thrilled about the uniseal but I knew that before I ordered. The overall build if really good. Just a tad overglue in some areas but no bubbles in the seams that I can see.
