Being a high school student myself, I have to say I pretty jealous. The largest tank I own is a 70, but really runs like a 50g. How do you pay for all this? lol, I am going broke trying to do my experiments with lighting... Looks great though. 210 is really big compared to my own tank, which cost me nearly all I had to set up and get it to look decent. Keep up the good work.

Well I researched for about a year before buying any equipment.. almost all the stuff i have for this tank was on sale.. the tank stand and canopy itself was on sale for 40% when I got it... I bought the lighting online, which was obviously cheaper than in stores... I basically bought everything online... I started working at 14 so I saved enough money from then... don't get me wrong though, my wallet isnt as loaded as it was before.

Yea, some here. Research helped a lot and I have been extremely lucky with my tank. I haven't had any losses and I it seems bullet proof so far. Still, whatever job you have, can you hook me up? I volunteer at the maritime center and get paid every once and a while for helping with events, but I can't officaly work for a nother 3 months till I turn 16.

Alright well I fixed my powerheads and they're running nice and smoothly now. Also stopped the sand from stirring up... all i did was move both powerheads on tha same side blowing in the same direction. if you have any questions about modding the K4 let me know...
Also hooked up my reef fanatic auto top off and... I LOVE IT! It feels so good not having to lug in buckets of water several times a day... Thing works like a charm, and highly recommended, at only $89.

So i've decided to keep the T5s... Aquactninics is actually coming out with a newer constellation fixture with built in high powered LEDs for the shimmer effect.. hopefully they will allow me to trade-in my constellation fixture for the newer one.

Im kind of freaked out right now.. I may sound crazy but I think there are ghosts in my house or something. I keep hearing a key on the piano in the other room being played like every 45 seconds.

Awesome tank setup. I just stumbled upon your thread tonight and it was cool to see how it came along.
I would suggest you try and get a bracket for the ATO sensor and get rid of the suction cups. I have never gotten suction cups to stay where I want them too, and that could be really bad with your ATO.

yeah I may be considering making a bracket.. I've backed off for 2 reasons though:
1. Havent had the time (1 more class of school!!!) 2. Its been there for 3 months and suctions have stayed 3. If the suctions DO fail, it will only fall into the sump causing the ATO to not add water (rather than adding and overflowing water) Thanks for the heads up though... I actually saw you post in a different thread.. I was going to ask what is that in your avatar picture?

It's a type of leafy sea dragon sea horse. My girlfriend took the pic at the scripps birch aquarium when I was living in San Diego. It is the Scripps Institution of Oceanography school and quite a stunning but small aquarium. I'll see if I can find the full sized pic. The colors are amazing on this one.
When I had my aquarium set up out there, they have 4 gigantic "vats" off the pier that filter natural sea water from the ocean. There is a garden hose at the end of the pier where you can take as much filtered seawater as you want for free. I never bought salt or had to mix water and my reef tank never looked better. Unfortunatly, I never really took pics of those tanks I had out there. =(

ok well the zoas arent really what I had expected. They are pretty different than the pictures they sent me.
There are three types of zoas that were on the rock 1. Bottom Left: REALLY neon green zoas (I actually like them) 2. Middle: Red zoas with REALLY blue patches on them (some that have only red skirts w/ entire blue bodies, and some with patches of blue bodies, which is cool) 3. Top: Purplish zoas with whitish/greenish mouths (I really like this one) Although its kind of COMPLETELY not what I had pictured, they're still pretty cool. Heres a terrible picture of them:
