Following as my nitrates have always hovered at 10ppm. I haven't tried No3PO4 yet but this is a good thread to narrow down your plan of action..Thanks for the updates keelo.

Yup your welcome so far they have stayed around 10ppm however I experimented with a new algae grow light (red and blue led light) it was a bust so my fuge was offline for a while. Hopefully this hasn't flawed anything yet. I'll keep everyone here posted I'm on week 5 of dosing. Best of luck to your nitrate issues, reefable!

Thank you..I am going to give it a try to the No3PO4X and inform how it goes. My phosphates are at 0.04 which is in the range. Hopefully we both are able to bring the nitrates down to at least 5ppm and keep it there. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Strangely enough my p04 is really low I can't pick it up on the salifert. One tip I would give you for dosing no3po4x is to go slowly and don't do the max dosage initially. I would go slow and slowly ramp it up because I went guns blazing when I got my hands on it and my tank was cloudy the next day. I understand every tank is different so you might not experience that but I would just be on the safe side and go slow.

I've had nitrates hovering around 10ppm for over a year and began carbon dosing 2 months ago... I'm at 10ml vinegar a day now and havnt seen any reduction in no3... my skimmate has gotten darker and I do get the bacterial film on the glass, I have the hanna hi checker and read .00 unless I overfeed and then I see anywhere from .02 to .08 just to read .00 24 hours later, I'm losing sps slowly and believe I'm po4 limited... I think my only resort is dosing some po4 to get the nitrates down... I'm being patient but losing corals is no fun... I believe I'm po4 limited because of the lack of algae growth on the glass or rocks for that matter... the battles of reefing... always a slow painful war.

Idon't know what's going on with your corals but I'm sorry to hear it. . 10ml of 5% acetic acid vinegar is a relatively small dose for a 93 gallon tank. Most folks settle in around .4 to .6 ml per gallon. Did you mean 10ml of 80 proof vodka per chance. That would be high enough to cause the issues noted?
Are the sps paling? I assume no gfo removers are in use . FWIW, I've been dosing the 650 gallon system with 80ml vinegar and 36ml vodka daily for over 6 years . NO3 holds around 0.2ppm NO3 salifert with PO4 between 0.02ppm and 0.04ppm per hanah 713. REadings are am before dosing or feeding. There is no slime or visible bacterial grwoth in the displays.

Okay well for anyone still following I believe this is week 6 of dosing and nitrates have reached zero! Confirmed by both Api and salifert test. I was dosing roughly 8ml a day.

I think Red Sea mentions not use any gfo media when dosing their product

3 ml seems reasonable for a 75g tank. I'd give it a shot.

I'll keep you guys posted on how my tank responds to the maintenance dose. Hey bertoni how long do you think these bacterial flocks will be in my tank for ?

That's hard to predict. If they aren't receding in 2-3 weeks or so, I'd probably look into another approach.

Goodluck with it I honestly think your tank won't take long since they are already low . When I started dosing my nitrates were over 40ppm within one week it brought them down to 20ppm.

Apparently I took my water sample to my lfs today and the test results were not favourable at all, they came at 50ppm. So I am starting my regimen with NoPox today. I will start low and gradually go high. I have another thread going on so I will update on that thread since I don't want to hijack your thread..thanks. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Oh damn that sucks I would recommend you knock them down to half then start dosing as you will probably see better results by doing that.
