I'm thinking of starting a 20 gallon nano reef. I would like a pair of fire clowns some small goby such as clown, a fire shrimp and snails.

I have a 30 gal with 30 lbs live rock and 30 lbs of live sand and T5HO lighting. I was wanting to have a pair of ocellaris clowns, a bicolor angel, flame angel, and maybe a goby of some sort? Can I have shrooms or will the angels eat them all up? Feel free to tell me "NO!" I want all my little guys to be happy.

No problem. The issue is not size of the fish, but behavior once sexually mature and bonded.

I have a 60g (basic glass rectangle) fowlr aquarium that i have been putting together for the last few months. It has been fully cycled and my base rock is finally starting to take off.
Used RO water, Instant ocean marine salt, 60lbs of Aragonite dry sand, Fluval 406 canister filter ( 1 mechanical filter, 2x bio media crates, 1x carbon media ), 2x Koralia 750ghp power heads, 40lbs of base rock, 20lbs live rock, fluval E 300w heater, standard aquarium light and hood that came with the tank. I will be adding a HOB skimmer in the next 1 - 2 months. I will be starting a small cleanup crew soon, but have a list of what I would like to stock it with over time and wanted some opinions on that. I am thinking of starting with a yellow tail damsel fish ( might would like to get a pair if it will not be overcrowded with the rest of the fish) Like to add: 1 - Ocellaris Clown (preferably tank bred) 1 - Dwarf flame angel 1 - One spot fox face also really like the blue spotted puffer, not sure if it would fit in with these or if it would be pushing the bio load to much? Welcome any and all suggestions about the whole setup and stock list. Thank You. |

Heniochus Diphreutes?
Hi Steve,
Which of the pictures, if any, is a heniochus diphreutes (schooling bannerfish)? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-TD6...kQX0hLuH1LnqA= Thank you! I've removed my other pair of false percula ocellaris and my neon dottyback in my DT. So what do you think of this revised list? 1. Pair of BW ocellaris clownfish 2. One heniochus diphreutes 3. One lawnmower blenny or tailspot blenny 4. One Kaudern's Cardinal 5. One male maldives lyretail anthias 6. One type of flasher wrasse (any ideas?) 7. One type of fairy wrasse (any ideas?) (Can the flasher wrasse coexist with the fairy wrasse?) 8. Flame Angel 9. One yellow tang or purple tang 10. Orchid dottyback Tank Info: 180 gallon with 60 gallon sump, 40 gallon refugium. 40G quarantine tank. New fish will be in QT for at least 4 weeks. And for a future 100G FOWLR, can I put have one maroon clownfish with a small niger triggerfish? (When I get my 300G, then I'll house the niger (with other aggressive fish) in the 180 and transfer my reef-safe fish in the 300). Thank you! |

Me again Steve!......
Anyways.. I have been having a hard time fiding the green banded gobies I want so my order of introduction to the Display has been disrupted. originally I wanted to add the GBG prior to adding clowns and a dwarf angel. My clowns come out of QT in 3 weeks are there any issues adding the gobies after the clowns? Due to the difficulty fiding the gobies, could i have issues adding them after a dwarf angel? (tank is 40g long with 1 neon goby one hector goby at present)

I'd appreciate input on my stocking list for my 60 gallon shallow reef tank:
- Flame Hawkfish - Black and White Percula - True Percula - Blue Assessor - Melanurus Wrasse - Hooded Fairy Wrasse - Midas Blenny My CUC will consist of nerites, nassarius, and a tonga fighting conch. I've also built a lid with soft mesh netting for the jumpers. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks! |
