The brand used was Minwax found at lowes or home depot, and yep the color was red mahogany

I really like the look of the T5s you have chosen. Im also building a 90 currently and was planning on two 250W DE phoenix 14k halides, its just that many of the tanks look so nice with T5s that the decision is a difficult one. Only drawback to T5s IMO is the missing shimmer you get with the halides. In any case I will stop rambling, your tank looks great!

Your aquascaping is very nice, and reminds me of my own 150 (set up in June). It's nice to see someone set up a patch or back reef idea, who understands that acro's will grow vertically and will require lots of space! Looking good...

I can live without the shimmer...mostly cause i have never used metal halides and don't know what the shimmer looks like in person
I spent $300 on the 4x54w t5s from reefgeek, and looking to spend another 160 on another pair of t5s to replace my 2x96w PCs. Show some pics of how your staining is going wwodyz, would like to see. thank you acronautical

I would make one suggestion, use a pre-stain conditioner, especially on soft wood. It will greatly reduce and patchiness and helps achieve a more uniform look. So it is a black stand and canopy for me. I am so tempted to just have a custom made furniture grade stand constructed. Good luck with your project!

I like the look of a black stand and canopy as well xray, so im sure it'll turn out good
Yea if you can find a good deal used go for it. Only thing i dont like about buying used was if i buy a 4 bulb retro kit for like 200, and the bulbs need to be replaced, you'll end up spending about 80+ on bulbs alone w/o shipping, for a total close to $300. So i figured 300 w/ $9 shipping including any bulbs i want was a good deal, and its brand new , just something to think about. Staining is easy im sure you did a good job. Um i have about 90-100lbs in there right now, maybe 10 more pounds of rubble in the sump :P.

Ah, man that sucks. He really looks wedged in there. I'm not expert, but I'd say its better to force him out than leave it stuck, Right?

My BTA got sucked into my Nanostream and it looked a lot worse than your Sebae does and it healed up just fine. I think it will be ok. Nice tank btw.

Got my new phosban reactor to run some carbon. My fluval canister died on me. Heres some behind the scenes pics
heh skimmer overflowed in second pic, just fed the fish, turned it on too soon... Two little fishies reactor run by a MJ400. Will probably get another one later ran in series to run phosban or some other GFO. Other news, the nem is back in the tank walking all over the place, he seem to have found a spot in the back bottom right of the tank, under some rocks where i cannot reach him now so... .
