Travis,
The pics look great and your growth is great. Just out of curiousity, what bulbs are you running and where did you obtain the Acropora loisettae?

Here is another fast grower.
Montipora sp. (thought this was a Montipora capricornis but seems to be one of the plating species instead)

Hard to tell the difference in growth between the two pics as one is zoomed in and the other is zoomed out. I would estimate the frag grew approximately 10 fold.

BTW, that pic can also double as a "reef" shot. I know melev had requested some reef shots so I left this one zoomed out just for him.

Thanks guys. We really don't realize what kind of growth we get until we take the time to look back and compare the before/after pics. I recommend that everyone does it at least yearly. It really can surprise you.

nbd13, The Bali tri-color is at the top of my rockwork which is around 12 inches from the top of the water and another 14 inches from my bulbs.

maxxII, I am currently running 3 x 250w XM 10k's with 320w VHO actinic. This is what I've been running the past 4 months and I am very happy with it. Before that I was running 3 x 400w radiums and color was good but growth was horrible. I think my corals have grown more in the past 4 months with the 250w 10k's than they did in 10 months with the 400w radiums. As for the loisettae, I posted 2 different ones. The one I posted yesterday came from **********.com and is called the emerald green loisettae or something like that. The one I posted today I got from Steve Tyree.

Alright, I'm getting pooped out posting growth pics for now. It takes a while to go back and find a pic of each coral from 6 months ago or 1 year ago. So I will leave you with a few final shots for the evening. I do still have plenty more pics to post but will edit, upload, and post them another time, maybe tomorrow.

Lunch, I won't be around at all on Saturday. We are having Christmas with my family and then going to my brother's for New Year's Eve.

I know I don't I don't have to get a school of clowns in order to get a pair, but it would be interesting to see how they figure out who's the most dominant and then the 1st runner up at dominant. Plus, it would be cool to have a species tank with so many of that species clownfish, don't ya think?

lessans - if i remember correctly your not supposed to have over 2 in a certain area....otherwise they will fight. i gues in the tank you are talking about you will have room.

species tank IMO sounds not so cool. just my oppinion though

The BK is doing great. I got impatient and went ahead and opened up the RD nozzle 2 full turns from where it was set. This fills the skimmer body pretty full of tiny bubbles. The production I'm getting from the skimmer is pretty amazing. It foams pretty much on a constant basis. The foam is nice and "chunky" too. I can't say I've ever used a skimmer that creates chunks of poo right in the foam. I can still see some of the foam from the first couple days in the collection cup because the bubbles were not bubbles of foam, they were bubbles of poo. So the poo has dried and still holds the shape of bubbles.

All in all, so far I am pretty happy with the skimmer. But yet to be "blown away".

If you want a shool of clowns you don't need a big tank. I used to have 6 of them in my 75. Personally, I'm not a fan of the idea of a fish species tank. When it comes to fish, I like my variety. But whatever trips your trigger.

Okay, I think we need someone to post some of the highlights of December that occured in this thread. What comes to mind?

Naked Travis working on plumbing.
Demands to see Travis' Poo.

Hmm. I thought the list would be longer. My mistake.
