They're both harmless feather dusters.

It's in my sump somewhere I'll try to find it for another pic. However, it didn't have anything remotely identifiable as a head. Just a dome shaped blob with reddish orange background and the darker spots. I had not seen it in the tank before it showed up in the filter sock.
My live rock came from TBS (Gulf of Mexico) if that helps.

Other than the color being different that looks just like it. That's interesting since all my sponges that survived the cycle and are now about 3 months in the tank suddenly started fading away in the last week or so. Gonna be on the look out for more of these.

Okay, I admit it. I have a couple Majano anemones in my tank. They're quite attractive little guys so I've done nothing to them but watch.
I just found that one of them has moved from his comfy spot away from everyone else and is now in my huge zoanthid colony. My question is... A majanos toxic to anything or are they just "weeds"? If they're harmless weeds (unlike aiptasia) are they okay in a tank? Thanks all! |

Majanos can reproduce as quickly as aiptasia and can sting nearby corals. I'd suggest killing them before they start reproducing.

Just hit the offending majano with some Aiptasia-X. Accidentally sacrificed several zoas in the process.

Bristleworm?
Assuming this is just a normal bristle worm. It was out in the sand around my clowns looked red in color so I pulled it. Safe or Unsafe?

Nola (from 2 pages back LOL), your pics look like 1) sponge, 2) old coral skeleton, 3) too small to tell...could be algae, could be the remains of a sponge, and 4) maybe a foraminiferan.
Hogfan, definitely ditch the worm, it looks like a Eunicid (5 tentacles on head). Hope that was the only one! No idea on the nudi, but usually they're on or around what they eat & look very similar to what they eat, so I'd base the decision to keep or not on that.

Hogfan it looks like the tail is missing on that worm, which means it can grow back into a whole new worm!
Def,with sushi, when in doubt whip it out. There are lots of remedies for removal... I'd def look for a tail end of it. |

Good call, Biocube, I didn't even notice it was a partial worm!
Bxs28, the same worm is posted a few posts up on this page. It's fine. If you have too many, you're overfeeding the tank.
