apex jr as slave?

Ive got an apex gold set up on one tank and I want to add control to another tank. I have an apex jr and am wondering if I can connect this to the apex gold system I have set up. I need 4 outlet controls and want to control temperature so this would be ideal.

They cannot be connected together. You will need to run them as two completely seperate systems and you cannot connect an aquabus cable between the two systems.

Boooo lol okay I guess the next question would be which is the better route running 2 separate apex which I already own or else purchasing a new PM1+EB4.

if you already own 2 Apex's and this is for two completely seperate tank, I'd opt for using 2 controllers. That's really up to you but having 2 controllers keeps any email alarm notification seperate which is nice. Just have 2 seperate host names. Apex and Apex JR or something if they don't already have seperate host names. You can change the default Host Name "Apex" in the network settings page.
