broken swabbie shaft

The swabbie shaft has broken flush with the skimmer lid. I see on the US Avast website that I can order a replacement shaft (although, I live in New Zealand). Given that I can get a new shaft, is there a manual available to illustrate how to replace the shaft? Not obvious to me at all on how to get the broken shaft bit out of the motor compartment. The motor compartment itself appears to be glued together (not able to be disassembled)?? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Yes, we can walk you through a repair. The motor cap is held on with hot melt adhesive. Simply heat the lid with a hair dryer or heat gun and it will come off. Our DIY kit manuals are a great reference for repair as well since you can see exactly how it is put together. Of course reach out directly if you need more help!
