drilling glass
The glass store tells me you can't drill a hole for overflow in tempered glass and I was thinking at least all bigger tanks are tempered glass. Is that right? thx.

Tempered glass shatters if you try to drill it.

Any hole in tempered glass was drilled first then the glass was tempered...As stated tempered glass will shatter if you try to drill it..

Bigger tanks are usually not tempered glass. Drilling glass is easy, but be super cautious with drilling the bottom of tanks. Only one I ever busted. It was almost done, then it turned into glitter.
Very few tanks have tapered side panes. Sent from my XT1710-02 using Tapatalk |
