Hi Alk and Ca.........bad thing?
Back in June I was experiencing Alk around 7 dkh and Ca around 360. I decided to add a second chamber to my Ca reactor and have watching parameters gradually rise. In Sept. I was right at my target of 11 dkh and 420 on the Ca.
I noticed some high readings in October but didn't stress it. I just ran another battery of tests and all of my paramters are perfect with the exception of my Alk and Ca. I now have Alk up around 15 dkh and Ca is around 480. Is this a problem or will my SPS catch up? I have noticed a marked move in SPS the last few months which was expected. PH is stable around 8.2

I would back the reactor off for a while or shut it down until alk comes down to proper levels. Meanwhile supplement the calcium to prevent it from dropping.

I agree with percula9. Back off the calcium reactor until the alk drops, while supplementing just the calcium as needed.
