maxijet impeller

I am just wondering if the replacement mj1200 impeller from marineland is the same impeller that went with the old original italy made maxijet's.

No, the magnet parts are different diameters. Externally, the two models appear identical, but the manufacturers have changed their designs so the parts are not interchangeable.
