Striped Mushrooms
My mushrooms look like they are puking their guts out of their mouths. This stuff stays out for a little while and then they suck it back in. They seem to be doing good as they are splitting off into new ones. The mushroom in the top left is doing it. I was going to try and get a better picture, but by the time I got the camera again, it was back in. What are they doing? Thanks.

expelling waste maybe. should be fine as long as your water parameters are fine. mushrooms are pretty hardy.

It looks like a gill if that sounds possible. What ever it is coming out. It pulls it back in. They seem to be in good health because I have at least four new baby mushrooms.

My blue and green hairy mushrooms do that often. It doesn't seem to be waste, but an actual piece of them: "guts".
They'll do that if aggravated, injured, or just for no reason. Mine are healthy and reproducing, so I don't worry about it anymore. |
