Sorry the picture is not rotated but this my new gem. For a softie freak like me I had to jump on it. Bought a baby Jawbreaker Mushroom at a recent swap. Can't wait until it grows and colors up. Not to mention start dropping babies. Sorry for crappy pic

Marinecritters, what is that red coral on the left side of your photo? Colt? Kenya Tree? I really like it!

It is a colt coral, very strange coloration though, it maybe the amino acids and vitamin C I add to the water.

hallzoo,

Your Grube's Gorgonian, it looks really happy.
- How long have you had it?
- Is it Photosynthetic?

What is the care and feeding for it?

I am interested in them but wanted to be sure it would be able thrive in my tank first.

Thanks! The spherical coral on the left is a frogspawn. He hasn't been fragged for 2 years and has grown quite huge. 70+ heads by my last count.

The Grube's has been in my tank for about 18 months. He is photosynthetic and loves being in bright light and occilating flow. No special feeding required really, just the occaisional reef Chili and what ever it can catch from fish feedings.

Thanks!

I use a 36" 6x39w T5HO TEK light fixture (tank is 48" long). My bulb combo goes:
ATI true actinic
D-D 6K midday sun
ATI purple+
ATI coral+
D-D 6K midday
ATI true actinic.

actinics are on for 12 hrs, all bulbs for 8 hrs.
