Longitudinal Fission, Pedal Laceration....
Hey all,
I see what looks like super small mushrooms on my live rock. They're all very light brown colored and are located near my main colonies of each mushroom. I know mushrooms can reproduce by longitudinal fission, but I do not think this is the case. And I believe pedal laceration occurs when they move themselves around and leave a piece of them on the rock to grow into another mushroom.... is there any other way mushrooms reproduce? |

Sure,
If you drop them in a blender for a few seconds.  Seriously I think they can reproduce in almost any way. |

I've heard of them being cut in 4 different pieces and all 4 grow...

What about ways they reproduce without human intervention? No cutting, no fragging them....and no blending them

my ricordia yuma walks around the rock it's on, and it just leaves little babies behind. I never need to "frag" it. Hard part is fragging pieces off the big rock it's on.
