Just reading through the guide...it recommends 5-10% water changes every 7 days. When using this probiotic salt, would there be any harm in making a large water change, say 50%? Would a large water change introduce too much probiotics and cause side effects?

You can change 50% - but its not recommend by Aquaforest
It will be better to make that in 2 parts.

I do large water changes 3-4 times per year, and I've had great success doing this over many years, up to 75% water change. It's a really good way to "reset" the tank, and flush out anything that is building up (I think mostly things we don't know about and aren't aware of). I don't want to stop this procedure. Would it be advisable to use the Reef Salt instead of the Probiotic Reef Salt for a large water change like this?

for AF, I left the zeolite in the reactor with carbon and phosphate minus.

You do not need a zeolite reactor like KZ or Fauna marin

You don't have to shake zeolites.
You Can put it in RX only, You don't need special reactor.

Thanks for the guide! Great info. I do have a question though I will be setting up a IM Lagoon 25 with a mixture of soft, lps and only a few (easy care) SPS. I really like the parameters of your Reef Salt. I "plan" on using most of your dosing products. If I use the Reef salt along with sufficient water changes will that be okay if I miss a dosing or end up not dosing at all. Or is this a Zeovit type system where is implodes if you dont follow everything exactly.

Thanks in advance

Its depends what results you expect
For a mixed range of corals can be used Reef Salt . If you want to have LPS or SPS corals is the dosing pump You can dose: Ca Plus , Kh Plus , Mg Plus or if corals will this need we recommend using the Component 1 + 2 + 3 +

Did You read or guide?

I did read the guide. Okay so if I just follow the instructions for setup I should be able to maintain good parameters with Reef Salt and dosing Component 1+2+3? Sounds like a plan, thanks

Salt & Calcium Reactor

Do you have to use your Probiotic Reef Salt with your system? or can other brands work as well (i.e. Reef Crystal or Brightwell)?

I also currently use a calcium reactor to balance alkalinity/calcium/magnesium would I be able to bypass the calcium, magnesium, and kh buffer in your system since I run this reactor?

We recommend Aquaforest salts.

If You have calcium reactor so You don"t have to dose Calcium, magnesium, KH Buffer.

To be clear, I can run all three medias (Carbon, Phos Minus, and Zeo Mix) together in one reactor? I assume packed so there is no tumble? This is huge news.. huge

And is there a layer preference? Carbon last?

I am having a heck of time reading this on the iPhone. It skips pages and half time it stops allowing me to turn. Can you rerelease the pdf?

Excellent! Thank you, it works much better and the text is more readable as well. On my small screen, the flip book tool was unfortunately rendering the text too small and it was very blurry to read. Now with the pdf, everything works!
