Woo Hoo I did it!! :)
Well I went to John Pennecamp this weekend in Key Largo and snorkeled dry rocks. If you all remember my last post in the snorkeling forum I was REALLY nervous and I think I know why now. Visibility in Key West was not very good at all compaired to Pennecamp. I was much more comfortable today. Saw some really huge elkhorn corals, sea fans, brains and stuff like that. Mostly it was the fish that I really liked. I saw a huge school of Surgeon fish. 1 about the size of a dinner plate
Stayed at the Marriot right there close to Penneycamp. Man thats a nice hotel... |

Vis will vary greatly from day to day.
On our first day vis was about 20-30 feet. On day 2 it was over 50 feet. All depends on the weather and surf. Did you see the Statue? |

No unfortunatley we didn't get to go to that part of the reef. We went to horse shoe reef (I think they called it) There was no place to tie up at the other place. It was stil pretty cool.
