Has anybody kept Seahorses long term with temps that hit 82* during the summer?

I have a 60 gallon display refugium setup on my 650+ gallon reef system. This system is very well established as it's been running over 10 years straight.

My intent was to add some seahorses to the tank. I've kept them in other systems over the years with decent success. On my main reef system, I don't run my chiller. In the winter my temps run between 76 & 78* which is fine however during the summer months, I max out at 82*. While I know that many of the reefs that these seahorse come from hit temps in excess of 80, from what I understand, 82* for any extended length of time is really too warm for them in a closed system like a reef tank due to their immune systems and increased likelihood of infections in warmer temps.

Have any of your kept seahorses with success in a tank that saw temps as high as 82* and if so, what species of seahorse? I was considering some Mustangs or Sunbursts from Ocean Riders but don't want to put them in a situation where the odds are not favorable.

I've had seahorses for short periods of time at that tempt (couple days, max). I wouldn't recommend it... although your tank seems like a large system and the bacterial/viral count would be a lot less than a smaller 20 gallon tank, I don't feel seahorses would be a good fit for a tank at those temps for that length of time. Also, there are different beliefs about seahorses found in reefs. Some believe they aren't as common there as we have come to believe.

Thanks for the feedback. That was kind of the answer I was expecting. I guess I will have to reconsider the seahorses or add some more fans for the summer.
