The number of things you can find in an salt water aquarium never cease to amaze me. I purchased a cheap usb microscope to view the copepods on the glass. When I looked at the sand up against the glass, I was shocked to see thousands of these tiny red squiggly things. They are slightly smaller than the copepods.

Polychaete epitokes most likely.
