Diaphragm pump
Can the diaphragm pump be used with the shut off float valve. I have avast ato sensor with float valve. Was using a peristaltic pump (different brand) but it's no longer working. Or should I go with avast peristaltic pump? It runs for about 15 min. 4-5 times a day. Longevity concerns me.

No problem at all running the diaphragm pump against a valve. You should have your sensor adjusted so the valve is a backup though, not the primary shut off mechanism.
