New Pipefish tank - Corals?
I recently added a blue stripe pipefish to my 3g Picotope.
Its the only fish in the tank, of course. I was curious about what kinds of corals would be safe to add to the tank? I have some zoa's, and a couple small ricordias, but thats all for now. Thanks! |

A 3 gal pico is pretty tight for a flagfin, as these are swimming species. However, I know that bluestripes often come in very small, but I digress...
Rics may or may not be OK with a small flagfin, depending on the pipe's habits (whether it perches on coral) as a ric could definitely swallow a bluestripe. I'd be concerned about the constant proximity between fish and coral.

He only really seems to perch in the back in his little hiding spots. I keep the rics on the top of my rocks, and he's never swam up there.
Thanks. |
