Lighting Dilemma
Hey ya'll. So currently I'm stuck in a problem; I had purchased the vertex illumilux 48" marion blu, (http://www.jlaquatics.com/product/vt...8+Inch%29.html) that uses 3W cree XP3s. But it's actinic only, which is stupid on my part, I thought I had bought the marino blanche which is 50/50 with white. So I'm thinking about a cheap add on for the white, and I found Sun Blaze T5 HO Strip Light, 6500K HO white light, and pretty cheap (http://www.jlaquatics.com/product/sl...4+Watt%29.html). I'm wondering, would 1 or 2 of these, along with the vertex illimilux, be enough lighting for a lps/softies (possibly even sps) tank?

Alright thanks for your help! I think I'll get 2, and consider a module add on for the illiumilux (red maybe).

One more question, would it be advisable to get lighting reflectors like; http://www.jlaquatics.com/product/sl...8+Inch%29.html
along with the sunbrite t5? Also are there any other cheap effective lighting alternatives for a 75 gallon (48") tank? |
