O.K. I quit. After spending half an hour trying to get the URL's transferred, only two addresses are displayed and only one works. After two weeks of frustration trying to use this new system, it isn't worth it. Sorry, but I won't be posting any more pictures here until this problem is fixed.

p.s., if you are still interested in viewing the images, they are in the "Shrimp" gallery under"Gonodactylus". You would think that under "Other Invertebrates" there could be a Mantis Shrimp section. Stomatopods are not shrimp, crabs, or lobsters!

Great photos in the album! ... I always go into the properties first so it just shows just the jpeg url and copy and paste that.

fwiw: I may merge both threads, but I need to check with the thread starter, see if it will toast the pics, and/or drive them to the end of the thread.

This forum thread title is very offending and is probably aigainst the forum rules I dont care if you wanted laughs. You should have called it stomatopod mating instead of stomatopod s**

The images are about more than mating. They include pictures of the genitalia, egg laying, and maternal care. These are all part of sexual reproduction. In short, the images are about stomatopod sex and sexual reproduction. I'm sorry you are so easily offended, but sex is part of life and there is no reason not to discuss it.

I totally agree, I find this article to be very informative and incredibly interested, I can not see anything wrong with it.
You should not open it if you get easily offended, although, I don't see how you could! |

I feel dirty.....I'm going to church after work now...
no seriously, that's some great photography.....Where are the origins of these mantis?? The ones I catch in the cast net here, are nowhere near as colorful.....I couldn't tell you what kind we have here.....Very cool, and I agree Sex is part of life(and death).....Without sexual reproduction, you're left with asexual production (then we're talking immortallity!)
