Good nano skimmer?
Just wandering what's a good nano skimmer that people have used or suggest? It's for a 90 litre /24gallon tank was leaning towards the reef octopus bh50 or ns80, resun sk300 or a lot of people have even said bubble magus is better then reef octopus? Not after a overly expensive skimmer but still skim very well would pay the extra $50 or so for sumthin 5x better tho or double capacity also it needs to be internal not after a hob as apparently they are the worst skimmers available
Thanks in advance |

So looked up the hydor slim skim has a lot of great reviews as you stated and very quiet I don't mind buying it only problem is its $250 cheapest I can find in Australia when it's $80 off eBay imported from America but the only problem is the countries different voltages so I guess what I am trying to say is it worth $250 or is there sumthin better at that price available in Australia? Thanks for the replays tho guys

Tunze 9004 works GREAT! Have it inside my Nuvo38. I was impatient at first with the micro bubbles but after the 3 weeks, not only is it skimming like crazy its super silent. Can't hear it at all and its inside the back chamber so you never see it.

You might want to look into some of the Eshopps skimmers as well.

I had a hydor slim skim in my 29g, i kind of hated it being inside the display, i added a 10g sump to hide it below the cabinet but the water level needed to be damn near the top of the 10g to keep the slim skim efficient. I ended up taking it out and buying an pipeless CAD lights aquarium skimmer. I wish i had saved the 100 bucks on the hydor and went this route the first time. Im sure the hydor is a great skimmer but for my set up it just wasnt ideal. The footprint on the CADlights skimmer is pretty small too if you have a small sump, i would recommend it to anyone.

Thanks for all the help guys appreciate it don't like how there is so many different brands and models as I hate making decisions lol Lfs is really trying to push me to get the resun sk 300 as they have a model for $50 cheaper online I know but what's $20 when you don't have to wait a week or 2 most of the worker from the shop run these skimmers on there nanos one even claims his outdoes the Tunze 9004 and are also very quiet in operation...... I see some vids on YouTube and you can't hear a thing only thing that concerns me in micro bubbles into the tank but should break in
