Feeding question
What is the general consensus to feeding? I use frozen food (brine/blood worm combo), and sometimes a whole cube seems too much, sometimes too little. I just lost a peppermint shrimp, and am concerned it was due to underfeeding.
Currently I have a 44gal. -2 Ocellaris Clowns -1 Diamond Watchman Goby - 1 Six lined wrasse - 1 Skunk shrimp. -3 hermits (small) - about 15 snails Thanks! |

Generally speaking and IMO&E, it's highly unlikely that any of us are underfeeding our tanks.
I feed a cube of food every 2-4 days for the following in my 40B 3 McCoskers Wrasses 2 Chalk Bass 2 Red Firefish 1 Red Highfin Goby 1 Red Banded Pistol Shrimp 2 Peppermint Shrimp 1 Emerald Crab Large CUC I turn down my powerheads for feeding not completely off. And To Reef Central to both of you.

I feed about 1/3 a cube to twice as many fish as you have daily.

I feed a full frozen cube (mysis usually) almost daily to 2 clowns, 2 pj cardinals, a blenny and the CUC. All the food is usually gone within 2-3 minutes at most.

Thank you everyone! So I can assume that was not the reason my Peppermint died. I will keep digging to why it was.

Are you sure you didn't find a molt?
If water parameters are good, sometimes there is no explanation as to why they die.

I feed about two pipettes of frozen food daily to my 2 clowns and one chromis. I'm sure my CUC gets the rest.

They can hide for a long time. Thought I lost mine a couple of times to have him come out when you least expect it...

No, it was definitely a body. Someone had ripped off his legs, so you could see his little innards (sorry to be graphic)
