I love Tampa Bay Saltwater
My tank has officially been "alive" now for 5 weeks, and it's teaming with life from TBS. Here is why I think it's so great...
Richard: He is great to work with! He was there every step of the way to offer advice and be sure I was well prepared for both shipments. He seemed just as interested in my order as I was, and answered my endless questions. The Rock and Sand: It is FULL of life! I never imagined I would have what I have now with just a couple of shipments from TBS. My tank is full of all kinds of beneficial and interesting creatures--sand sifters, CUC, pods, tunicates, sponges, etc. Bonus items: Richard was only expected to send me a set of specified items, but he throws in so many more exciting things. I received large sponges, a couple anemones, a few gorgonians, a decorator crab and other fun things. A fish even found its way into my bag of sand. I had a beautiful ocean scene in literally 8 days! Health: I could have never imagined that I would have a beautiful, HEALTHY tank in such a short amount of time. I was prepared to handle a cycling tank, water changes, frequent testing, etc. But I never even had a small ammonia spike. The items in my tank were in the Gulf on Friday, and in my tank Saturday afternoon. You just can't beat that! Even the fish that arrived in the very first shipment did fine and is thriving. Here are a few photos so you can see:

Thanks Kelly for the kind words.
You were so worried about 'doing it right' and you pulled it off like a champ. Is amazing what real live rock and sand does for a new tank set up scenario. Having no ammonia issues while cycling your new tank is due to your diligence, and the quality of the live rock and sand we use in the Package. Most folks who set up with the "Package" have the same experience as yours, little to no cycle issues, and a happy tank in a week, but yours looks most excellent! Keep us posted! I agree Richard is awesome
Quote:
I upgraded my main pump to a Sicce 5, added an Apex gold and redid my plumbing. AND TODAY I GET PART 1 of the package and can't wait to see what I get. Richard must have answered at least 100 emails from me during the course of this last year and has been the best example of great customer service that I have ever seen. I will post some pics later today or this weekend. Regards, Michael. |

Hmm... I don't know why. I see that happening on RC on occasion. I sure love to share my pics, though. Maybe try logging off and back on.
