Best sump features
I'm interested in finding all the unique tweaks, customizations and/or feature companies or individuals have put into their sumps. Or if you have an idea that hasn't been implemented, add it here!
Would love to get more input. Add pictures if you can. Here are a few I thought were cool to get the ball rolling. Built in reactor Center section bypass. This way you can drain the center section of the sump for cleaning or water change and the DT still gets circulation. Customized lids Remote prob holder Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Some of that stuff like the vertex is just over complicated and can be limiting down the road when you decide you want to change equipment.
All i need is something to hold my probes, my heaters, and my dosing lines. And make sure the skimmer section has an adjustable baffle to change water height. Covers are nice where possible, so cutouts for cords/equipment on those.

But adjustable baffle for skimmer section? What a great idea. Can you point me to any threads discussing this feature? Thanks, Mike

I used to think all that stuff was nice 20 years ago. As time went by the simpler the system the easier the maintenance and better success I've had. Here's a video of one of my systems I had clams successfully reproduce:

Awesome feature so you don't have to bother with a stand. My next sump will definitely feature an adjustable skimmer section height.
