Red Algae ID please
Hello all I have red algae growing on my rockwork. it is not soft and does not come off with a brush like cyano would .
What kind of algae is ? Is it a form of coraline ? will it turn purple Thanks |

I had this and never found out what it was. Some suspected Red Turf algae but I really don't think it was. I was able to get most of with a Sea Urchin, Astraea Turbo snails, and Turban snails. I can't say I'm rid of it but it appears to be well under control with this type of clean up crew.
