how to attach an acrylic overflow to a glass tank?
im going to be doing a 40 breeder, and im going to put roughly a 6x6x3 overflow in the middle top. its going to be internal.
im going to have it made out of acrylic. how do i attach it to a glass tank to make sure it holds strong?

Silicone does a pretty good job in my opinion. I have 3/8" acrylic baffles in my 40g breeder tank and it's VERY strong.
Make sure you use GE #1 or another reefsafe silicone. |

You can get a caulking gun size tube of GE #1 silicone for $3 and some change at HD/K-Mart/Walmart.
