DI Resin Cartridge ?
Hi!
I just replaced my DI cartridge on my Maxxima Hi-S 60GPD. Now when my float valve opens and allows the water out of the RO/DI, the DI chamber completely empties, although the TDS meter reads 0. I'm pretty sure this is not right. I've checked to make sure that its in the chamber correctly and is not upside down or anything like that. I've put the old DI resin back in the chamber, and the chamber stays full when I run that one, but its an old cartridge and needs replacing. Do I need to let this sit and absorb water for a period of time, or what am I missing? |

My DI cartridge never has filled with water. I was assured this was normal by the filter supplier.

Mine does the same thing. There is maybe an inch or two of water at the bottom of the DI chamber. My TDS always reads 0 so I dont worry about it.

This is normal. If it's producing 0 TDS, it's working.
