flow for a 30 gallon

whats up reefers? i set up a spare 30 gallon at my new house. i will be moving in about a month. so i figure a month should be ample time for it to cycle before i have to tear down my current tank and move the livestock. i plan to purchace a hydor koralia 1. will one of these powerheads create sufficent flow in a 30? will two of these pumps be too much flow? they are rated at 400 gph. my livestock consists of a condy anemone, some soft corals(polyps, mushrooms, ect). a fire fish, 3 reef chromis, an eibli angle and a Ocellaris Clownfish. i also have various snails, hermits, a serpant star and a green urchin. oh yes my reef also has a mantis shrimp. he's about 2.5 inches in length and is well fed on brine shrimp. but i havnt seen him for about a week. i have a 21" current pc light. im not sure if this light will be sufficent because the 30 gallon is 36" long. any input would be great. thanks everyone.

I don't think 2 would be too many. I have 30x turnover in my 40g mixed reef. The more flow the better imo.

I have a seio 620 and a seio 820 which puts me at 49.6x turnover in a mixed reef without counting a return pump for a 29g.

I would go with 2. Its always nice to have counter flow. The ocean doesnt just go one way. Keep one in each corner facing the front glass. I have a 45x turnover in my 125. As for your lighting I would try some t-5s.

Heres a nice fixture.

Definitely 2.

I won a Koralia #1 last weekend at our local meet, and stuck it in my 29g.

It's probably 1/2 the flow that a Maxijet 1200 would provide.

2 might be good, though...or get one #2 or #3.

Get the koralia #2. I have one in my 46 gallon bow front and it works great. You may think it doesnt flow as well as a MJ1200 but actually it does. The koralias move a large amount of water in a wide area. The MJ's just move a skinny stream of water like a nozzle on a hose. The koralia #2 is rated at 600gph and the MJ 1200 is 295gph. And the koralia is very efficient.
