newbie needs advice

hello, i have been looking into this hobby and was just wondering exactly what equipment is neccesary to start a fowlr tank? if you could just tell me the basic equipment needed. thank you

Well the first thing I would say is to invest in an RO/DI unit, or else you will battle algae for a long time. You obviously need a tank, possibly a stand, unless you have something to put it on. A normal output flourescent light will be alright until you decide what else your going to add. The next purchase you will want to get would be a protein skimmer. This list will get you going in the right direction.
