live rock adding

can you add more live rock after the tank has cycled and fish have had a home there for 2months now?

if you can how much and how often?

you can, and if you do, i would take it really slow so that you don't spike up the ammonia. i have heard/known (and don't reccomend) that some have let the rock dry up completely and then add it.

yea, i agree.....if you add it slowly and watch your parameters, you should be alright.

i found adding 10-20 lbs a month was plenty plenty of time in my tank, have about 30-40 lbs in it at the least right now

do you guys have any addvice on picking live rock or places to go other then my LFS

if you add already cured live rocks (rocks straight from some one else's tank) you can add as much as you want. if you add "cured live rocks" from the fish store, then I'm not sure. anyhow, if you add real cured live rocks, then I don't think there's a limit to how much live rocks you can add because you won't have an ammonia spike. If you have an ammonia spike, that means you added lr that aren't really cured. I added 60lbs of lr into my tank (actual cured lr) and it didn't do any harm.
