montipora digitata tops dying

The tops of my SPS digitata are turning white and dying off. But the rest of the branches seem to be doing good. What can be causing this? Too much light?

I have a 6 bulb tek T5 HO fixture and the sps is near the top of my tank with lots of flow. I had some pieces on the bottom but those didn't do too great. What could be the cause of this die off?
