Vortech running hot!
Today, I finally got my vortechs up and running. They outside housing really gets hot. Is this normal? It seems to be aligned well. No loud vibration noises and seems to have very gentle hum. There is an occasional bump inside the outer housing. Is this all normal?

Yes. I have two running and the outside piece runs hot. That is normal according to Ecotech. That's why they say the pump does not put heat in your tank rather it warms the outside.

As stated above it is normaly; also of note, the pump monitors it's own heat, so if it becomes too hot, it will slow down to cool itself off and protect itself from damage.
