need a little advice
i am getting a current seas wave maker. this wavemaker can control 4 powerheads but only one of the powerheads is on at a time. it can be controlled to switch powerheads between every 5 - 30 seconds. i planned on having 2 modded mj400 at about 500-600 gph each. i am now thinking that this is not enough flow since only one will be on at a time. should i just mod 2 mj1200 for 1500 gph each? it is going to be on my 55gal reef all softies. also where would the best place to put the pumps at? im thinking either back corners pointing at the center of the front glass or on the sides pointing straight across the tank. let me know what you guys think. thanks

If this is the same wavemaker controler I have ,it has a setting to allow 2 power heades to be on at the same time alternating between the four heads. I have mine located 2 on the lower back (L-R) of the tank and two on upper front(L-R). They alternate between left and right heads.

I would go with the two MJ1200 even though it looks to be a lot of flow for a 55g
