Algae

I've recently bought more live rock for my Nano that had algae (green) that runs like string with long leaves and I thought I had it all picked off but find that I didnt and it really has begun to take over tank. Is there away to get rid of this. Are there certain water parameters that I should be looking for to help??

I am not sure what kind of algae you have from your description and a photo would help, but, in any event, you ought t be testing your water, and where there is an algae problem, it's particularly important to test for nitrates.

Do that and post the nitrate lever of your water here and there'll be some answers for you as to the best way to get rid of the nuisance algae that you have.

I was thinking Briopsis, but, again, I'd hope to see a pic. Anyway, even if it is briopsis, it can be beaten. Reefing will prevail. We will never surrender.
