Maxi Jet Modifiers, HELP!!
I modified my MJ 900 and all was working fine. Then it just stopped, its almost like it can't get going because of the stopper that was installed. Has anyone had any of these problems or have suggestions? TIA

Is it a complete DIY unit or was it ordered through Mjmods dot com? I would try, with the power OFF, to try and turn the prop a little bit, then turn the power back on. See if that does anything.

That is what I did, I took it out spun it around. I also put it into a bucket of water, tried to spin it with my finger. It tries to spin, it just doesn't continue. I bought the kit through mjmods.com

Did you open it up to see if something is blocking the propeller assembly inside?

Try trimming the stop if you can. Take apart, just leave prop in the powerhead, turn on, should spin. You don't need the stop. If the PH is going in wrong direction, just turn off and on till it goes in right direction. Or, you can just stick your finger in to act as a stopper. If the stopper is too long, may cause to jam up. How long was it running before you had problems?

That could be it possibly, I'm not sure if you are talking about the shaft(what everything spins on) or the carbon rod attached to the magnet?? The shaft needs a little freeplay for everything to move up and down a little bit. Also, maybe make sure you can spin prop assembly in your hand, if it doesn't I'd say maybe you need to ream out the hole slightly. I'll try and help any way I can, I have modified 3 of them and the only probs I've had was them spinning backwards, didn't use the stops.
