is it ok to have 15pounds in a 55gallon for 6weeks becaues im going to buy 30pounds soon but my fish will be ok right i have valitain puffer and a niger fish

They might make it, but I'd worry about ammonia. How big are the fish, and what tank are they in now.

they are in a 55gallon and one fish is 1/2in and one is 1in and one is 1 1/2in

If you are getting the LR from a LFS or someone close to you, and you can move the LR in water you will more than likely be ok. If its LR that you have orderd off line or someting Myself I would set up a tank, trashcan or container of some kind with a pump and heater to cycle the rock to keep the bad nitrates out of your main tank.

i would say do not take a chance: follow meco65 's advice . cycle it in the trash can . for 3-4 weeks . once a week do some water change in the trash can. then add the lv to your display tank. good luck. jakleen

I'd probably go the trashcan route as well. A heater and a pump will be all that's needed for the curing period.
