Is this a tube worm or something else?

There are several of these tube worms or whatever they are, on the rock that my mushrooms came on. They have a white stem. They seem to have just popped up recently. Are they good or bad ? Do they irritate the mushrooms? The mushroom behind this one in the picture, has been folded away from it for a few days, so I don't know if the tube worm or whatever it is, is irritating the mushroom, or if the mushroom is getting ready to split or what. Should I remove these things, or leave them alone?

Thanks....I have some featherdusters. Will they stay tiny like this? I probably have about 6 or 7 on that one rock.
