Is this a good cleanup crew for a 20 gal?

9 astrea snails
3 blue leg hermits
8 ceriths
5 Nerites
1 peppermint shrimp?

and just curious but what do turbos eat?

ditch the hermits. They dont clean much and will just kill snails (specially ceriths) which do clean.

Shrimp are not really part of cleanup crew...they just pick loose food up when they find it, or snag some when you feed the tank. I'd recommend getting a cleaner shrimp instead...or just both haha. Reason being, you'll rarely see the peppermint..they're nocturnal.

Turbos eat a bunch of different stuff, but i dont like them. I got 1 in my 40b, and about a hundred ceriths/astreas...those do a much better job than turbos imo, and they dont knock stuff over like turbos.

10 ceriths
10 astrea
A pair of cleaners or maybe a blood shrimp

Turbos do a great jod at eating film algea off glass and hair algea on rocks. Mine do a wonderful job. I would also get a few turbos. If you need more buy accordingly. Cause it really depends on the algea content.

8 astrea, 10 blue leg hermits, brittle star, 1 peppermint shrimp, 2 cleaner shrimp.

My blue leg hermits pick bits of algae off my LR. Good luck.

I have about 12 Ceriths, 8 Astraeas, 5 Nassarius, and 1 Turbo in a 20g with a 2" sandbed.
