rock pillars
ok so im currently building rock pillars for my tank
i feel it looks better and will give me the best filtration im unshure what materials i can use for the base of the structure i want a rock or substance that is flat that i coudl drill an acrylic rod into. i was thinkng limestone but what is the best substance i can use? anyoen else done this any advice you can give me?

I would just use dead coral or liverock... you should be able to find a flat rock to suit your purpose

Use a masonry drill bit to drill holes through your lr, then get a pvc tube to slide through the holes, and make a stand in the shape of a H out of pvc. I hope my explaination is clear, I have seen it done well and it looks great.
