Orange and Brown Growth ID

Can anyone identify this thing? It is orange with brown spots on the right side of the rock.
It came attached to the mushroom rock we bought and has really grown in that two months. Macroalgae maybe?

Thanks

It's a kind of algae, I don't klnow the exact name of it. I grows very fast but easily removed. None of my fish ate it. My clowns hosted it until I pulled it out.

Actually, Dubbin1, I think Whisperer is correct. It's counterintuitive, but clowns are said to "host" whatever they're living in.

And another person is wrong... If the algae was living on the clown then the clown would be hosting it (like a parasite uses a fish for a host). Since the clown was living in the algae then that makes the algae the host.

Dubbin is correct. Clowns do not host things unless its a parasite or isopod or something along that lines. Anemones, coral, powerheads, algae, ect, ect, ect host clowns. If you stay at someones house you are not the host. I hope this makes sence.
