My Angel is eating my cleaner shrimp.

Last night everyone was happy. This morning, I got up and saw white meat showing on my Fire Shrimp. Then I witnessed my Majestic take a bite! I have the cleaner isolated in what my grapes came in. A plastic container with lots of holes in it. Upon further inspection, I saw a fresh molt behind one of the rocks. I guess my question is, how much damage can my cleaner take before he won't recover? I'll try to get some pics.

If its still moving around and stuff, then he may pull through. However once he starts lookin better, i'd move him to a different tank or get rid of him, cuz the angel will just do it again.

Its also pretty common for them to get hit like this after they molt, because their new skin is soft and leaves them pretty vulnerable i guess...

He didn't make it My Angel has killed a Two Spot and now my Fire shrimp. I really like him, but it may be time to exchange him for something else. I really want to have inverts in my tank. Now my Flame Hawk is dive bombing my High Fin Red Banded Goby that has paired up with my pistol shrimp. I am really thinking about starting over with my fish list

I think it is probably wise to look at compatibility of some of the stock you want to keep.

Man, I feel your pain! I had a Yellow Tang once that killed my beloved perc clown and two anthias' before I caught him in the act....I dumped him on my local LFS and warned him that he was a really violent tang (amazing how much damage a small yellow tang can do) and got a baby hippo tang (who has a great personality....awesome trade).
