Tanks in front of windows

I have my own little apprehensions about this.. but I figured I would throw it out there. What are your thoughts on placing your tank in front of a window? The only benifit I could see from it would be the use of actual sunlight for your corals. 2 negatives I would immediately suspect would be increase algae growth, and water temp. spikes. Anyone else got any further comments?

Only comment is that I think you have coverd the good and the bad, with the exception of how good are your windows in keeping the cold Ohio air out in the winter?
I think the advantage of having better artificial lighting outweighs the excess algae, and heat problems myself. JMO

The reason I ask this is because this location in front of one of the windows in my living room is an ideal place for a 75gal tank.. i was considering putting mine there when my buddy moves out. I great windows in regards to keeping out the cold, and there are really not alot of problems with direct sunlight heat, its on the west side of my house and really only gets direct sunlight for a couple hours a day. I figure, of course with additional artificial lighting, what could using the sun hurt? It has to be healthy for coral. Just thought this would be a good debate!:-)
